About Earl

Licensed clinical therapist, podcaster, and curator of healing—but above all, a human committed to helping others live their best lives. Owner and founder of Innate Virtue Counseling, PLLC, and the creator of 26 Affirmations for Boys of Color.

I’m a licensed clinical therapist, podcaster, and curator of healing—but above all, I’m a human committed to helping others live their best lives. As the owner and founder of Innate Virtue Counseling, PLLC, and the creator of 26 Affirmations for Boys of Color, my work is rooted in supporting individuals on their journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I believe each person holds an innate capacity for healing and that their healthiest, truest self already exists within them.

My passion lies in working with individuals navigating trauma, particularly those within Black/African American and LGBTQIA+ communities. With over nine years in the mental health and human services field, my approach is integrative and trauma-informed, blending experiential therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, empowerment—and when appropriate, a bit of humor. Beyond trauma-focused therapy, I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, and boundary, with expertise in the intersections of LGBTQIA+ identities, minority stress, and trauma.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, attending R&B concerts, and getting lost in a good book (check out my recommendations!). I also co-host The G.R.I.T.S. Co., a talk series dedicated to amplifying the voices and lived experiences of Black queer individuals raised in the South.
