About Earl

I’m a licensed clinical therapist, podcaster, curator of healing, and most importantly a human, living one of my passions of aiding individuals to live their best lives here in North Carolina. I am the owner and creator of Innate Virtue Counseling, PLLC and the proud creator of 26 Affirmations for Boys of Color. Understanding the importance of self-discovery and the journey to happiness, I strive to aid those achieve the best version of themselves by enhancing their skills to break through their barriers. I truly believes each person has the innate potential to unlock their truest and healthiest version of themselves, and that their healthiest self lies innately in their soul.

I have a passion and background in helping individuals deal with traumatic experiences, particularly those who are in the African American community and LGBTQIA+ community. My approach to therapy is a combination of Experiential, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused, mindfulness, empowerment, and comedy. In addition to trauma focused therapy, I have extensive experiences in working with anxiety, domestic violence, boundary setting, depression, stigma, marginalized groups.I have been fortunate to have been working in the human services and mental health field for over seven years.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, attending R&B concerts, and activities in the beautiful city of Charlotte. I also enjoy co-hosting on my talk series entitled, The G.R.I.T.S. Co.
